Pipe threads where presure-tight joints are made on the threads.
Plain taper ring gauge No. 4 is available in sizes from 1/16" to 6". Gauges are manufactured from through hardened tool steel and heat treated to a hardness of 60-64 HRc.
Gauge No. 4
This gauge is a 1:16 taper plain ring gauge and is suitable for checking the major diameter and the related useful thread length of taper external (R) threads. The gauge incorporates a step equal to the total tolerance. (AS ISO 7.2 - 2008 p8)
